Daniela Maurer (1981), Oristano.
“What fascinates me about design is the opportunity to intervene, on tiptoe, in the daily life of normal people, and trying to improve it through designs that interpret their needs, dreams and desires. It is this positive, discreet impulse, always intended to benefit others, that interests me. The designer makes an effort to put himself in the final user’s shoes, so that he is in effect designing for himself. ”
She obtained her degree in 2005, from the Department of Design of the Milan Polytechnic, with a thesis entitled “Saarin System - a new professional hair drying system”.
She has collaborated with the Milan studios Design Group Italia and Deep Design, and since 2006 she has worked in the Marco Ferreri studio, in Milan, where she collaborates in the development and creation of new product designs, graphics and decor objects (decor items, lamps, kitchenware, sports apparel and accessories, packaging, corporate image projects, stands for trade fairs and exhibits).
She has overseen the installation of two exhibits organized in Milan in commemoration of the centennial of the birth of Bruno Munari: “Cercare Munari” (“Looking for Munari”) – Olimpia Theater, Milan, April 2007; “Bruno Munari” – Rotonda della Besana, Milan, October 2007-February 2008.
